It Started With a Problem Most Clinics Would Not Acknowledge
Sparkhill is one of the most diverse streets in Europe. Pakistani, Indian, Bangladeshi, Somali, Caribbean, and mixed heritage communities live and work here side by side. And for years, women from these communities were told the same thing at laser clinics across Birmingham.
“We are not sure our laser will work on your skin.”
Or worse, they booked, they paid, and nothing happened. Wrong machine. Wrong settings. Practitioners who had never been trained to treat darker skin properly. Women leaving clinics with burns, patches, and wasted money.
That is the gap A&A Aesthetics was built to fill.
Why We Opened on Stratford Road
We did not choose Stratford Road because of footfall figures or a property deal.
We chose it because this is where our clients live. South Asian women dealing with PCOS-related facial hair. Middle Eastern women who had been turned away from three clinics before finding us. Black women who had never found a laser clinic that understood their skin type. Trans women going through gender-affirming treatment who needed a private, non-judgemental space.
These are not niche clients. In Sparkhill, they are the most clients.
Most laser clinics in Birmingham are located in the city centre or in Edgbaston. They serve a predominantly white clientele and use machines designed for lighter skin. We opened five minutes from Small Heath Park with Alexandrite and Nd:YAG lasers specifically because this community needed both.
What We Built
A&A Aesthetics Laser Clinic opened on Stratford Road as a dedicated aesthetics and laser clinic. Not a hair salon with a laser machine in the back room. Not a chain franchise following head office protocols.
We offer laser hair removal from £10, advanced skin treatments, anti ageing treatments, HydraFacial, microneedling, PRP, IV vitamin infusions, fat dissolving, threading, waxing, massage, hair styling, and hijama for ladies.
Every treatment is delivered by a named, qualified practitioner. You see the same person every session. She knows your skin, your history, and your progress.
We keep our prices lower than any chain in Birmingham because we are independent. No Grand Central rent. No franchise fees. No national marketing budget to recover from your appointment.
Our Values: Three Things We Never Compromise
Honesty. If laser is not suitable for your hair type or skin tone, we tell you at the consultation. If a treatment will not make a visible difference for your specific concern, we say so. We would rather lose a booking than waste your money.

Our Technology
We use medical-grade Alexandrite and Nd:YAG lasers the same technology trusted in NHS settings.
Alexandrite handles lighter skin tones with speed and precision. Nd:YAG penetrates deeper and treats Fitzpatrick skin types IV through VI safely. Most clinics have one laser. We have both because Birmingham needs both.
